An elder in my church approached me with a microphone that needed repair. It has two parts, a microphone and a base receiver. The main issue was no sound so let us see what is wrong with this one.
The first thing to do was to confirm which part is faulty; is it the microphone or the base? When I powered both devices, I could see right away that the microphone is being recognized by the base. When I spoke into the microphone, I did not see any level registering on the main UV meter on the base.
