Cheap and Bad Quality Music Box Repaired
A simple repair brought this music box back to life. Model: Toslevo
A manager of a super Market across the street shouted my name out and asked me to come over and check something out in his store. I was wondering what was going on. When I crossed the street, he told me that his music box that provides the music in his store stopped working.
It was a China made music box and it was really cheap and bad quality.
I advised him to get a better one instead of repairing it because it might break down again. He insisted on repairing this one.
I plugged the power adapter to the power socket but I did not see any sign of life. As you can see in the photo, the display was completely dead. But when I wiggled the power plug, the machine came back to life.
It was clearly a power supply cable, male plug or the female plug issue on the device. I checked the power using my multi meter and I wiggled the wire, I could see that the cable was damaged and it has to be replaced.
Once I replaced the damaged cable (in photo) with a new one and powered up the device, it did not come one. When I wiggled the plug again, the power came on.
I know the cable I just replaced was fine but it seems like the female plug inside the machine either loose or broken.
Few screws came off and I got inside the machine. When I got to the plug connected to the board, it was loose and it has to be re soldered back to the board.
Once I did that, the machine is alive again. Mission Accomplished.

Nice one that is very interesting, but I have been taken mp3 player for some to repair when the brought it me as technologist, please I need help
I have a Fender Princeton 650 it’s a guitar amp ( solid state) with a DSP processor and I’m afraid to go probing around in it for fear of ruining more than is already wrong . It was brought to me for repair owner says it’s humming and no guitar signal coming through. There’s a video on you tube of this very same problem but no solution to it. As owner said I powered it up and plugged a guitar in it and there was a bad hum and then nothing then I smell something burning… it was the speaker . I call owner he says he don’t want to pay for new speaker and to keep amp for parts and in lieu of service fee. Can you help me I need to sell this thing and get rid of it to stay afloat with my business . Thank in advance for any help.
