Fault Symptom: Battery gets discharge quickly and output spark is also low.

Mosquito Racket Repaired

So on physical inspection everything seems ok & no burn marks or any physical damage. So first I took battery charging section for checking battery draining fault.

First I have checked the Battery it shows 2.4V DC on multimeter this reading matches as per printed value on the battery. I.e. Battery is ok.

2.4 volt 600mah battery

I have traced the circuit and checked diodes, transistor (Suspected Leakey but found ok) and resistors found ok. So it is time to check the Hi voltage capacitors.

so I took out capacitor belong to the battery charging section as well output capacitor which is connected to mesh

Mosquito Racket fixed

Checked this capacitor on ESR Meter look what it shows 470nf capacitor is showing 196.3nf that is out of range so conclude this capacitor is bad

china esr meter

So replaced both the capacitors

replace bad capacitor

After replacing the capacitors I have reassembled the racket and kept the racket for the charging for 5 hours after that I have been using it for one week without charging that means problem is solved.

Because bad capacitor it is not passing voltage & required current for battery charging.

Those bad capacitors are always spoiling a otherways good product! In my country these Rackets are sold without rechargable battery. Two penlight batteries are used instead and placed in the handle. They are easily replaced by rechargeable ones if need be.

Albert, I had plan to put one 18650 single Battery Cell which i have salvaged from some of bad laptop battery pack but size is issue.
