This device was brought for repair. It was completely dead but to be honest with you, I did not know what it was. I asked the customer and he said it is a vibrator that can be put in the small swimming pools to make waves. Through these waves, it can create strong vibrations that will stimulate the muscles in the body.

It was charging fine but I was not able to capture that with my camera since the changing light was flashing.

Once it was charged you could turn it on through these two positive and negatives pushed together. Once it was on, you can adjust the strength of the vibrations with these two buttons as well.

It has thick foam all around it and you can just drop it in the water and enjoy the waves created through vibrations.

The question here was how to get inside this thing? After a lot of thinking and search on the net, I still could not get inside this thing. So I called the customer (my cousin who works there), and he explained that the white plastic piece is a nut holding the screw.

By turning the plastic piece counter clock wise, the plastic piece came off and I could see the inside of the device.

I pushed the device out of its foamy housing and I could see some screws that have to come off in order to get inside further.

Once I took the screws off and I opened the device, I could see a loose connection there. Someone was inside this thing before which I believe it was my cousin who told me how to open this thing.

It is very clear that the cable was short and not attached well to the motor and because of the vibrations, the cable got loose again.

wire loose connection

The first step was to lengthen the two wires and add a stronger connection to make it withstand all the vibrations.

testing unknown device

That is the connection from the other side of the motor. I added more firm connection to the motor terminals and tested it for a long time. I was working fine and then I put everything back together and gave it to the customer for further testing. So far, it seems to be working fine because I did not hear anything from my cousin.

Mission accomplished.

Interesting. Never heard such stuff before. Wonder how water could not seep into this as it looks like simple plastic casing..Thanks for sharing

    1. Waleed Rishmawi says:

Raj: me neither, It was the first one for me. the outside cover is not plastic, it is a foamy material. I also learned that it can be used in water or just a simple vibrator. new experience every day. have a blessed day

Recently I heard first hand from the makers/inventers of a new substance that makes clothing and even electronic boards water resistant. It already was used in the giro d’italia 2019 to make T-shirts of cyclists waterresistant. It could prove to be a new method to keep electronic boards in washing machines and tumble dryers safe and waterproof. (without the need for manufacturers to stick entire print circuit boards into thick waterresistant substances which makes fixing defects very hard).

    1. Waleed Rishmawi says:

Albert: I have seen these kinds of board on Makitta charger. all the circuit board covered in water resistance material and when it was time for repair, I had to take all that stuff off to get it fixed. the only way to get the stuff off is by heating the board and in the process parts might be damaged.
      have a blessed day
